Document Description
The overall project activities are required for SoCalGas to comply with a 2011 California Public Utilities Commission order. The order was for natural gas transmission operators in the State of California to develop an Implementation Plan to achieve the goal of testing and/or replacement of all natural gas transmission pipelines that had not been recently pressure-tested. The project involves the removal of 2,490 linear feet of abandoned 6-inch pipeline that was replaced with new 10-inch pipeline in 2019. The pipeline would be removed via open trench within a maximum 70-foot wide workspace. The removal is being completed for pipeline safety purposes along the existing pipeline system, and per landowner request.
