Document Description
The Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) is proposing various improvements within Caltrans’ right-of-way (ROW) on State Route (SR) 36 in Trinity County at post mile R38.448. These improvements consist of the installation of approximately 10 galvanic anodes 10 feet underground and installation of an anode junction box 2 feet underground. The junction box would be placed approximately flush with the ground. A sonotube would be installed in a hole that is 2 feet deep to stabilize the anode junction box. A trench that is approximately 3 feet deep, 1.5 feet wide, and approximately 100 feet long would be excavated from the anode junction box to an existing gas main. PVC conduit would house the lead wires that extend from the junction box to an existing gas main. Caltrans would issue an encroachment permit to allow the proposed work to occur within State ROW.
