Document Description
The project proposes to remove an existing boat lift and swimming platform and eight wooden pilings associated with the structures. A contractor will construct a new 16x28 ft. covered boat lift where the swim platform is currently located. The roof from the existing boat lift will be re-used on the new boat lift. The existing aluminum gangway will be repaired and will remain in the current location, where it attaches to the existing seawall. The project includes driving six new pilings.

Reasons for Exemption
The project is repair and replacement of a private accessory structure. No littoral vegetation will be removed. All work in the lake will occur between October 15 and December 31. The project will not result in significant adverse environmental effects to wetlands or riparian habitats. The Lake COunty Community Development Department has determined that the project will not have a significant effect on the environment and is, therefore, exempt from the provisions of CEQA.
