- The project involves replacement of an existing 20-foot long by 60-inch diameter culvert that failed during winter storms in 2019. The culvert is located on a private road that provides access between the property's winery and vineyard areas. The existing culvert will be replaced with a 30- foot long by 78-inch diameter culvert. Culvert replacement activities involve excavation to remove the existing culvert and prepare the stream channel for installation of the new larger diameter culvert. The new culvert will be placed, backfilled and covered with a 12-inch thick by 12-foot wide compacted base rock road. Both ends of the new culvert will be mitered to conform with the adjacent fill slope and angular rock riprap aprons will be installed around the inlet and outlet for erosion protection.
