Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
15301
Reasons for Exemption
The permit modification will allow for collection of additional sampling information and to clarify specific methods for sampling, consistent with the previously approved closure plan. Additionally, the modification allows non-hazardous waste to be recycled, reused, or disposed of using non-hazardous waste procedures after testing. The modifications do not substantially expand the closure operations from those previously approved. DTSC has evaluated whether any of the exceptions to the categorical exemptions apply to this project, as described in Public Resources Code Section 21084(c), (d), and (e), and 14 CCR Section 15300.2. DTSC has determined that no exceptions to the categorical exemption apply to this project.
