Document Description
This phase of the San Diego Bay Native Oyster Living Shoreline Project (hereafter Project) will focus on conducting technical analyses required for permitting and the final design and engineering for project implementation. The Project will implement 0.68 acres of native oyster habitat in a mudflat area of the Chula Vista Wildlife Reserve in South San Diego Bay. The implementation methods consist of place 0.1 acres of reef balls on the mudflat for native oyster recruitment. Once implemented, the Project is expected to provide up to 10 ares of restored intertidal mudflat and reef habitat as well as protect the shoreline for existing erosion and future impacts from sea level rise.
