Document Description
The California Department of Transportation proposes an overlay project on State Route 43 in Kern County from State Route 46 to the Tulare-Kern County line, postmiles 25.2/38.8. The project would place a one-inch overlay of rubberized hot mix asphalt on top of the existing pavement, as well as three feet of shoulder backing. In areas of deteriorated pavement, three inches of existing pavement would be removed and replaced. No striping will be removed with this project. No new right of way would be required.
