Document Description
The project consists on the closure of the Imperial Solid Waste Site, which is an existing landfill with a total disposal area , footprint of approximately 18 acres. The landfill ceased operation on 29 July 2018 and was converted to a transfer station on 1 March 2019. The landfill has reached the maximum permitted capacity and therefore requires closure in accordance with Title 27 CCR Section 21110. Activities include waste relocation, cover soil import, engineered fill placement and compaction, and installation of stormwater management features. The estimated time frame to complete the closure tasks described for the site is approximately 4 to 6 months.
