Knights Landing Bridge Rehabilitation

Present Land Use
Presently, the land use in the project area is State Highway. The bridge, which is a part of the State Highway System, spans the Sacramento River near the town of Knights Landing California. The area surrounding the project has residential housing, small businesses, and agriculture.
This project proposes to perform maintenance on bridge approaches on both sides of the bridge. The work includes grinding off the existing asphalt, remove panels and re-seal them, reseal the manhole, place new asphalt, remove existing bearing plates, and evaluate the underlying concrete base, install new bearing plates/pads. All work will occur within the Caltrans Right of Way. No work will occur from under the bridge.
This project will take place at the bridge that crosses the Sacramento river from Post Mile 21.98 in Yolo County to post mile 0.03 in Sutter County.

The operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical features, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency's determination is exempt under CEQA Section 15301-Existing Facilities.
