The MUSD Board of Trustees previously adopted a Mitigated Negative Declaration and approved a water system reconstruction project on October 15, 2020. After adoption of the MND and approval of the project, the MUSD agreed to coordinate with the Mendocino City Community Services District (MCCSD) to allow additional water supply and storge improvements on MUSD’s property. The modified project includes additional water supply and storage improvements to address water system deficiencies and to develop an emergency water supply for community use during periods of drought when many private wells run dry. The modified project includes replacement water storage tanks, new groundwater wells, a replacement water treatment building, and new on-site access roads at MUSD-owned property at 44020 Little Lake Road.
