Document Description
The LADWP is committed in providing safe and reliable source of water to its customers. Under LADWP’s Water Infrastructure Plan, pipeline replacement projects promote long-term efficient operation and lower the risk of disruptions due to failures in the water distribution system. The proposed project would replace existing aging mainline pipes to provide a more reliable and safe water supply for the residents of this area. The proposed project replaces approximately 1,100 feet of aging mainline pipes placed back in1949 and 1957 made of cast iron material, with ductile iron pipes in the location listed above. Construction each day will be confined to a small area between 50 feet to 100 feet long and move along the project alignment for the construction duration of approximately two months until completion. Excavated area will be covered with steel plates until the completion of each replaced pipe segment is backfilled and paved. Traffic control plans will be implemented per Los Angeles Department of Transportation requirements.
