Document Description
The City is preparing the 2020 CAP to include measures addressing municipal and communitywide GHG emissions that will be incorporated into the City’s General Plan. Using the 2005 GHG emissions as a baseline, the City is committed to a GHG emissions reduction target of 49 percent below 2005 levels by 2030 and an interim target of 32 percent below 2005 levels by 2025. This 2030 GHG emissions goal is selected to be consistent with California Senate Bill 32 State emissions targets, CEQA, and the Bay Area Air Quality Management District guidelines for a qualified GHG emissions reduction strategy, and to be achievable by City-supported measures identified in the Millbrae 2020 CAP. To achieve the Millbrae 2030 GHG emissions target, the City has developed 43 CAP measures related to energy, water, transportation, and waste.
