Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to overlay a 0.15' of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) overlay on State Route (SR)-4 in Calaveras County from postmile (PM) R58.0 to R56.9 and on SR-207 in
Alpine County from PM 0.0 to 1.4. Construction would occur on existing paved surfaces and improved shoulder areas within Caltrans right of way. The purpose of this project is to prevent further deterioration of the paved
highway surface. The need for this project is to extend the service life of the existing pavement.
