Document Description
The proposed project will remove the hazardous materials and demolish Buildings 550, 1329, 1173. The non-historic buildings to be abated of Lead Based Paint (LBP) and Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) by a certified abatement contractor then torn down and disposed of as non-hazardous waste. The Abatement contractor will: Conduct HAZMAT survey for asbestos and lead base paint; Check all utilities have been terminated and no longer active; Remove and dispose of all asbestos containing materials in accordance with state and federal regulations; Remove and dispose of all lead base paint materials in accordance with state and federal regulations; Demo and remove concrete foundation or footings; Clean-up all remaining non-hazardous debris; Back fill with dirt and compact. All Camp San Luis Obispo Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Best Management Practices (BMPs) will be applied.
