Document Description
The purpose of the Ventura Countywide Integrated Regional Water Management Plan is to facilitate regional cooperation to design watershed management plans with the goal of improving water supply reliability, water recycling, water conservation, recreation and access, wetlands enhancement and creation, and environmental and habitat protection. Specifically, it will provide ongoing guidance and prioritization regarding planning and future implementation of projects for both Proposition 1 Implementation Grants and other funding sources.

Reasons for Exemption
Based on an examination of the proposed project, this project qualifies for the following exemptions under the California Environmental Quality Act;
Categorical Exemption§ 15306-Information Collection. Activities related to the Countywide Integrated Regional Water Management Plan include basic data collection, research, experimental management, and resource evaluation activities which will not result in a serious or major disturbance to an environmental resource. These activities may be strictly for information gathering purposes, or as part of a study leading to an action which has not yet been approved, adopted, or funded.
Statutory Exemption§ 15262 -Feasibility and Planning Study. The Countywide Integrated Regional Water Management Plan involves feasibility and planning studies for possible future actions which have not yet been approved adopted, or funded.
