Document Description
The Project will include covering the disposal trenches with a minimum of two feet of soil as cover, including the areas in between the burn trenches. The cover system will be comprised of clean soil excavated from the adjacent on-site borrow area; approximately 23,500 cubic yards of soil will be placed in the burn dump area. Surficial scatter, vegetation, and other residual materials will be collected and incorporated into the trench area prior to the placement of cover. Once construction is complete, areas will be revegetated through drill and hydroseeding. The objective of the Project is to reduce the potential for environmental and public health and safety risks associated with unstable slopes and exposed burn waste.
