Document Description
The Project proposes to construct a test water well that would be utilized for the analysis of groundwater within the City of Huron. Samples will be collected at various depths and the results will be used to design a full production water well. If the test well proves feasible, it would be converted to a full production well with a desired yield of 1,500 gallons/minute. Once constructed, the Project will provide supplemental water to the City to meet shortfalls from the City's historical allocation of surface water provided by the Westlands Water District. If the underlaying groundwater is not rich enough for human consumption, the water will be treated in compliance with the California State Regional Water Quality Control Board standards for the City's drinking water.
