This project proposes to enhance pedestrian crossing safety in various cities throughout Santa Clara County by replacing the existing pedestrian push buttons at crosswalks with Accessible Pedestrian Signals (APSs); replacing existing pedestrian signal heads with Pedestrian Countdown Timers (PCTs); placing new APSs and PCTs; and refreshing and upgrading crosswalks and pedestrian signage within various signalized intersections.
