Document Description
Annual maintenance activities in Jackson Creek and tributaries. All work is performed with hand tools and mechanical vegetation cutters and shredders. Debris and dead vegetation would be removed by hand. Vegetation removal is limited to ruderal grasses and trees and shrubs less than four (4) inches diameter at breast height (DBH). Trees greater than 4 inches DBH are retained but may be trimmed. Riparian vegetation that is not obstructing flow would be retained. Additionally, some silt, sand or sediment removal may be required in the immediate vicinity of any facilities or structures that substantially obstruct water flow, reduce channel, metal culverts or bridge structures. Work would be limited to the driest time within the channel, typically during the fall months for no more than eight weeks.
