Document Description
The Project Applicant proposes an entitlement package with multiple applications for the development of the Porcupine Creek Retreat Specific Plan (“Plan”). The Plan would allow the development of a 50- key resort. Additional recreational amenities will include a new restaurant, dining deck, upgraded spa complex, additional retreat related facilities, and a rerouted 18-hole golf course. The rerouting of the golf
course intends to maintain the existing fairways with some minor adjustments, all located within estate grounds and bounded by the existing roadways and cart paths. The Specific Plan will cover a 191-acre portion of the existing 230-acre Porcupine Creek estate. No mountainous or conservation lands, characterized by the MR zone and/or MSHCP (Multi Species Habitat Conservation Plan) designation respectively, are included within the boundary of the proposed Specific Plan.
The Project would enable the development of up to 250,000 square feet of resort development. A General Plan Zoning Map Amendment (GPZMA) to “Specific Plan” is proposed as part of the project, with an underlying zoning designation of Resort Hotel (Rs-H).
