Document Description
The proposed project is a geotechnical investigation that would consist of conducting 10 underwater borings in the Sweetwater Reservoir from a floating barge, using a drill rig capable of providing continuous soil samples, to maximum depths of 40 feet below the topmost layer of sediment. In addition, 2 borings would be conducted on seasonally dry land below the reservoir’s highwater mark, on the eastern side of the reservoir. The borings would have approximately 4-inch diameters and would be backfilled with bentonite grout slurry.
