Document Description
The project consists of a comprehensive update to the City of Milpitas Housing Element. The Housing Element update includes a housing plan that accommodates the Regional Housing Needs Allocation (RHNA) plus a buffer of additional housing sites as recommended by HCD. The City would accommodate the RHNA with the development of ADUs, planned and approved projects, and Opportunity Sites which are vacant or underutilized sites zoned for residential or mixed use and Rezone Sites which will be rezoned to Mixed Use or High-Density Mixed-Use when the Gateway-Main Street Specific Plan is updated in 2023.
