Document Description
Project will grade an existing 1.5 miles of fire road 53-16 along Marsh Creek Road in Marsh Creek State Park to provide a fuel break and improve access for fire suppression efforts in the event of incident response. Care will be taken to grade only the existing roadbed and/or previously disturbed soils and will feather any side castings back in to the road prism to keep the road from getting entrenched and to preserve any sensitive resources that have the potential for being disturbed during the proposed work.

Project consists of the repair, maintenance or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond current levels and is included as "trail or road repairs" in the Department of Parks and Recreation's list of exempt activities in accordance with CCR § 15300.4.; and minor public or private alterations in the condition of land, water, and/or vegetation which do not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees except for forestry or agricultural purposes.
