Document Description
This Geotech investigation would perform 4 Cone Penetrometer Tests (CPTs) and 1 Geotech boring on the shoulder and pullout area along West-bound SR 37, East of Tolay Creek Bridge in Sonoma County. The purpose of this Geotech investigation is to obtain the engineering properties of the soil or rock and to determine the areal extent, depth, and thickness of each identifiable soil/rock unit. This would help to inform the design of the Sears Point to Mare Island Improvement Project while minimizing exploration costs and impacts to the ground surface. Drillings would be performed to the depth of 200 feet or refusal, using a CPT rig and drill rig. All equipment would be staged and operated within the unpaved shoulder and pullout area mentioned above. All work would occur within January 2024. No nightwork would be required.
