Reasons for Exemption
Class 2 consists of replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities where the new structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced. This project will involve the replacement of existing ovens with new ovens at two existing facilities. This project will not change the purpose or increase the capacity of the ovens in the baking facilities, and is expected to decrease emissions of local air pollutants. For these reasons, the project will not have a significant effect on the environment and falls under the categorical exemption listed in 14 C.C.R. 15302.
