Document Description
Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) has requested an easement across land the District owns to complete upgrades to its existing natural gas pipeline. PG&E will install a gas regulation station above grade with additional overpressure protection such as slam shut valve, SCADA monitoring and token relief valve. The facility will be approximately 145’ x 55’ and 20’ x 55’ and will be fenced.

Westlands Water District has determined that this project is exempt pursuant to 14 California Code of Regulations § 15301(b), of the California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”) Guidelines (14 California Code of Regulations § 15000, et seq.). In accordance with Guidelines § 15300.2 (a), Westlands determined that this project is exempt for the following reason(s): This project is exempt from CEQA under Title 14 of the California Code of Regulations, § 15301 (b) (Existing Facilities) since the project’s scope consists of minor alterations of existing investor-owned or public-owned structures or facilities, involving negligible or no expansion of existing use. Exemption includes investor-owned utility facilities used to provide natural gas or other public utility services.
