Document Description
Replace the failing roof and repaint the exterior of the Silverado Ranch House in Robert Louis Stevenson State Park to help protect and preserve the resource for continues future use. Work will: • Remove the old deteriorated cedar shingle roof; • Replace damaged or rotted sheathing, faschia boards and plywood decking as needed; • Install new galvanized drip edges, valley flashing and roof jacks; • Apply weather watch leak barrier on eves, rake and all pitch of 2% or less; • Lay down 30# felt between roof deck and new shingles; • Install a new 30-year composition shingle roof; • Test peeling and chipped exterior paint for lead and if detected, contain and dispose of lead paint; and • Re-paint the building to match existing color.
