Document Description
City of Yreka has an existing 12" water main that crosses I5 and SR 3. The water main is to be replaced by a new 16" water main and will be approximately 350' of Bore and Jack, with 30" steel casing and 16" fusible PVC. Caltrans will issue an encroachment permit to allow for the proposed improvements within State right-of-way.

The City of Yreka, as the CEQA Lead Agency, has determined the project as a whole is exempt in accordance with §21080.21 of the California Public Resources Code which exempts pipeline projects when the pipe is within a public street or highway and is less than one mile in length. The exemption applies to the installation of a new pipeline or the maintenance, repair, replacement, removal or demolition of an existing pipeline
