Document Description
The purpose of this project is to improve safety on State Route 175, by creating an area large enough for vehicles to turnaround if necessary, prior to entering a narrow section of highway where trucks over 38' in length are prohibited. This project proposes to widen both the east and westbound shoulders to a maximum width of 12' along approximately 300 linear feet of highway. The project will require approximately 500 cubic yards of roadway excavation, 170 tons of Hot Mix Asphalt, 5.7 cubic yards of embankment and 360 cubic yards of class 2 aggregate base. Staging is expected to occur within the existing pullout. The total disturbed soil area for this project is estimated at 0.20 acres.
