Document Description
The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) is a Responsible Agency for the Project. The Applicant has applied for financial assistance from the State Water Board’s Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (SRF) Program for the Project referred to internally as East Orange CWD PFAS Water Treatment Plant. The Project includes the installation of a small treatment plant in conjunction and appurtenant to a previously installed groundwater production well. The treatment plant would be used to remove per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances contaminants. The treatment plant would consist of the use of an ion exchange (IX) treatment protocol through the use of IX vessels along with associated on-site distribution facilities. The vessels would be approximately 16 feet tall at the site. The facilities would treat water pumped from the production well and would convey it to existing water distribution pipelines for potable water.
