Caltrans proposes to repair the failed cut slopes of the original State Route 25 Curve Realignment Project in order to reduce a higher than average number of collisions within the project limits. Caltrans proposes to flatten the cut slopes to 2:1, horizontal to vertical alignment, to promote revegetation, and to prevent repeated failure. Caltrans will replace oak trees at a ratio of 3:1, and will purchase mitigation credits from a CDFW approved mitigation bank for California tiger salamander habitat.
