Document Description
DWR Delta Field Division (DFD) staff will be repairing erosion sites along the CAAQ. Spoils of unusable soil will be placed at the Fish Facility spoil location at Clifton Court Forebay. Staff will use an excavator to excavate erosion sites to remove existing soil that has poor structure. Clean fill will be hauled by dump truck and placed in open excavation. A water truck will be used for dust mitigation. Asphalt will be placed from pickup by hand as needed for locations with paved portions of roadway. Staging will be on existing roadways and parking lots. All work is within DWR right of way.

Reasons for Exemption
The State Water Project provides significant and important services to many Californians. This project is exempt because it involves routine maintenance activities. This project will not result in impacts to special status species or habitat. Because this activity can be implemented without any significant environmental impacts, the Categorical Exemption Class 1 will be used for CEQA compliance.
