Document Description
CAL FIRE will provide funding from the California Climate Investments Forest Health Program to Santa Cruz County Resource Conservation District as part of Grant # 8GG19604 for mastication treatments over 40 acres and tree planting over 80 acres as part of THP 1-19-00043-SCR. Mastication will reduce fuels continuity, encourage retained tree release, manage pest pressures, and create habitat heterogeneity. Planting will restore forest health and increase carbon sequestration.
