Document Description
The intent of the proposed project is to perform necessary repairs to a non-historic cottage located with in Columbia State historic Park. Cottage A (Residence #3) requires renovation due to years of rot. Renovations include replacement of the existing HVAC system and brick walkway. Work will: • Remove rotted wood siding and porches on Cottage A; • Replace siding with like material and style including, shiplap style siding on the front and board and batten on the remaining three sides; • Paint new sood siding to match existing color, white; • Remove current HVAC system; • Install a new HVAC system under the house, including a Bryant 95% Furnace and matching 2 ton 14 SEER Bryant A/C, flex duct, and 220v Service circuit for A/C; • Install ducting and gas line under the house, within the crawl space; • Remove existing brick walkway in front of Cottage; and • Level the ground to grade and use the existing bricks to create replacement walkway.

Project consists of the repair, maintenance and minor alteration of existing public or private structures involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond current levels; replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities where the new structure will be located on the same site and the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced and is included as "Utility repairs or minor upgrades" in the Department of Parks and Recreation 's list of exempt activities in accordance with CCR § 15300.4; and the minor public or private alteration in land, water and/or vegetation which does not involve the removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees.
