Document Description
This project will make improvements to Ann Skager Trail to ensure park visitors remain on the designated trail, including an approximately 37-foot section of wood split-rail fence along an end curve section of the trail, a chain link gate will be installed about 30 feet west across the volunteer trail at an old fenceline, and the removal and re-positioning of trail edging. No potential for significant impacts to the environment is anticipated in compliance with CEQA §15300.2.
If the project is implemented as indicated within the project description including conditions provided by CDPR specialists, then it is exempt under CEQA §15301 - Existing Facilities, §15303- New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures, and §15304 - Minor Alterations to Land. The action falls under the Departmental List of Exempt activities according to CEQA §15300.4 as outlined in the Department of Operations Manual, Chapter 0600:
• "Trail or road repairs" {Class 1, Section 15301 );
• "Construction or installation of park facilities such as ... fencing and gates" (Class 3, Section 15303); and
• "Trail construction or realignment" (Class 4, Section 15304)
