Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2018-0356-R1, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to JH Ranch, represented by Jim Free.
The project is limited to inspection, operation, maintenance, and repair of Diversion #10/10A, an existing water diversion on Payne’s Lake Creek providing irrigation water to JH Ranch. The diversion facilities include a fish screen mounted to a concrete box inlet with headgate, a conveyance ditch, a secondary concrete box structure with staff gage, and bypass for water not being utilized. Maintenance to access those features and fish screen replacement are included.

The Project is limited to operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features with negligible or no expansion. The diversion facilities are currently in good working order. Therefore, the continued use of these facilities is consistent with a Class 1 exemption, and no unusual circumstances exist with regard to this facility at this time.
