- Pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1652, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife has approved the Pioneer Park Fish Passage Enhancement Project submitted by the City of Calistoga. The project will remove an existing concrete crossing within the Napa River that is a partial barrier to fish passage and replace it with a clear span bridge just downstream of the existing structure. The project will improve habitat for California freshwater shrimp (Syncaris pacifica), among other aquatic species.
