Document Description
The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) is a Responsible Agency for the Project. The State Water Board is funding the Project referred to internally as Alpine Meadows and Starview Improvement Project. The Alpine Meadows and Starview Improvement Project is a component of the Cobb Area County Water District Consolidation Improvements Project to rectify deficiencies in multiple existing water systems. The proposed Project includes connecting the Alpine Meadows system with the Starview system to provide safe, reliable drinking water to Alpine Meadows residents. Approximately 5,000 linear feet of new 6-inch water main will be constructed within existing roadways to interconnect the Alpine Meadows area to the Starview area. A pressure reducing valve station will be installed to moderate pressure in the distribution system. Approximately 3,900 linear feet of water main and laterals, and fire hydrants will be constructed in the Alpine Meadows area. In the Starview area, there will be potential tank improvements and/or replacement, installation of a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system, and installation of a booster pump station to serve an area of Starview that doesn't meet minimum pressures.
