The Project includes the construction of an on-site sewage collection system, on-site water distribution system, and two detention basins to capture stormwater.
The proposed on-site sewage collection system and laterals will convey sewage from each mobile home to the existing Coachella Valley Water District (CVWD) lift station located at Lincoln Street and Avenue 68. The on-site sewer system will consist of approximately 32 manholes, approximately 2,200 linear feet of laterals, and approximately 7,250 linear feet of sewer main pipe.
The proposed on-site water distribution system will consist of approximately 8,350 linear feet of water main interconnecting the mobile homes to the CVWD’s future off-site water main located under Lincoln Street. In addition, a 20,000-gallon hydropneumatics water storage tank will be located on the northeast corner of the Project area to serve as an emergency water supply and meet fire flow for the Mobile Home Property.
The Project also includes construction of a new stormwater management infrastructure at the mobile home park to provide flood protection and to reduce pollutant load discharges to the Coachella Valley Stormwater Channel and the Salton Sea. The proposed stormwater management infrastructure will consist of the construction of a minimum of two detention basins with filtration media and a combined minimum design storage capacity of six acre-feet; 52,000 square feet of new pavement surface with a minimum of 1,400 linear feet of valley gutters to capture and convey runoff into the new detention basins; and construction of approximately 2,834 linear feet of perforated pipe to discharge treated runoff into the Coachella Valley Stormwater Channel.
