Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2015-0102-R5, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Westerly Stud Farm represented by Allan Jones. The project is limited to restoration activities, required to mitigate previous impacts to an unnamed stream, tributary to Santa Agueda Creek. The Restoration Plan includes the following activities within the unnamed stream at Westerly Stud Farm: removal of 17,000 cubic yards of fill material; removal of approximately 720 linear feet of 48- inch diameter CMP; re-establishment of the pre-fill channel gradient and natural flow path; re-establishment of the streambed material composition, to the greatest extent possible, based on a detailed geomorphic assessment and evaluation of adjacent reference sites; installation of grade-control structures in the streambed using 200 cubic yards of existing excavated fill material and 500 cubic yards of imported rip-rap; revegetation activities including the installation of native tree, shrub, and herbaceous plant species via container plants and seeds; incorporation of best management practices to stabilize the restoration site; and, five-year monitoring period with reports documenting project development and overall site progress.
