The State Water Board is financing the Project referred to internally as Shady Lane Mobile Home Park Septic-to-Sewer Project. The Project includes the consolidation of a community of 40 mobile homes into the Coachella Sanitary District municipal wastewater system by installing approximately 1,420 linear feet of new 8-inch sewer main within the Mobile Home Park and 1,630 linear feet of 6-inch PVC sewer force main from 54th Avenue, south along Shady Lane, and east into the Shady Lane Mobile Home Park. The new sewer system will also include 4-inch public sewer laterals for each connection, a sewer lift station, and 48-inch & 60-inch manholes along the sewer main. Once the connections are made, the existing septic tanks will be decommissioned in place.
