The purpose of the project is to acquire approximately 481± acres of land that is an important sand transport area for the original Willow Hole/Edom Hill Coachella Valley Fringe Toed Lizard Preserve and contains critical habitat for the Burrowing Owl as well as hydrologic features, cultural resources, significant scenic attributes, and recreational opportunities.
