Document Description
Calfire Azalea Fuels Project is proposed by Calfire in the CALTRANS right of way on both sides of Interstate 5. The project proposes to reduce fuels by a combination of mastication, cutting, and chipping. Minor burning of hand piles may occur. The proposed project will promote a shaded fuel break in an area that has had historical incidence of roadside ignition. The proposed project will reduce the likelihood of wildfire from roadside ignition in an area designated a "very high fire hazard severity zone".
