Document Description
UCI’s Advanced Power and Engineering Program (APEP) is collaborating with Southern California Edison (SCE) and Form Energy to advance development of an aqueous, air-breathing long-duration energy storage system. The proposed project would demonstrate a 10kW/1000kWh prototype at the APEP Grid Evolution Laboratory (GEL) in order to assess the performance of this non-Li Ion battery in terms of energy storage duration and cost. The scope of work includes installation of the battery prototype at the existing APEP GEL located within the Engineering Laboratory Facility (ELF) at the UCI campus.
