Document Description
The regulation will require mandatory monthly reporting by urban water suppliers. Emergency regulation requirements requiring monthly reporting expired on November 25, 2017. Since becoming voluntary, monthly reporting rates have decreased to 76%. The reporting required by the regulation is largely consistent with prior drought emergency reporting requirements that have expired. The data required to be reported pursuant to the regulation will improve the protection of the public’s health and welfare by providing information on potable water production and conservation measures to all stakeholders who will help ensure adequate supplies of potable water and encourage greater water conservation, and realize the directives of Executive Order B-37-16 and Executive Order B-40-17.
