Document Description
The proposed project involves the installation of a new 2,000-foot-long, 24-inch-diameter natural gas transmission pipeline to replace an existing 22-inch natural gas pipeline. The existing natural gas pipeline, which is referred to as Line 114 (L-114) was installed in 1942 and replacement is required under Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) Integrity Management’s Vintage Pipe Replacement Program. The existing pipeline that was constructed in 1942 would be retired in place. The project site is located within the boundaries of the East Contra Costa County (ECCC) Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP)/Natural Community Conservation Plan (NCCP) Plan Area. The activities proposed as part of this project qualify as “covered activities” under the HCP.
