Document Description
Pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1652, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife has approved the Gallagher Ranch Streambank Stabilization submitted by North Marin Water District. The project will increase large woody material in the creek, improve habitat by planting native riparian vegetation and increasing overhanging vegetation, and stabilize the bank with a log crib wall. The project will improve habitat for the Central California Coast Evolutionarily Significant Unit of Coho salmon (Oncorynchus kisutch) and California freshwater shrimp (Syncaris pacifica), among other aquatic species.
