Reasons for Exemption
The property (commonly known as Conway Ranch) is under a Conservation Easement held by the Eastern Sierra Land Trust. The Conservation Easement provides for annual monitoring and reporting to ensure preservation of the natural, historic and aesthetic values of the land. The annual report and operations plan are conducted by Mono County staff to ensure adherence to the easement while allowing mixed uses of the land which may also give direction to future maintenance and/or enhancement of the diverse ecological setting. Operational plans are not indicative of any guaranteed project or action. Rather it is used a guide which allows for collaborative and thoughtful planning.
