Document Description
This project will seek to enclose a degraded California Palm Oasis and potential water source (spring) and their corresponding resource features from further OHV encroachment into the target area. It will follow Best Management Practices guidelines from the California State Parks OHV BMP Manual for Erosion and Sediment Control. The project will mechanically de-compact and remove the existing visual trail below the hill climb, remove the invasive Tamarisk tree, re-contour ground with heavy equipment and hand crews, add a peeler-core barrier fence, rehabilitate with native plants and seed casting, and add two interpretive panels. An archaeological and biological monitor will be present at the discretion of the district Archaeologist and/or Environmental Scientist
