The project proposes to install Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) elements in San Joaquin County at various locations along State Route 4, 99 and Interstate 5. The purpose of the project is to extend and integrate the existing ITS and establish a communication network that is secured, low maintenance, Caltrans' owned, cost effective and capable of high bandwidths to transmit data between Stockton Traffic Management Center (TMC) servers and field elements.
